Flat Purse In Parlour

The Parlour collection uses a beautiful print reminiscent of Chinoiserie from the 17^th and 18^th centuries found in many English country manors.  Parlour has beautiful butterflies, orchids and other blossoms on a vibrant yellow ground which is so on-point.

Alice says “I love chinoiserie and have done ever since I visited the Mary queen of Scots room at Chatsworth House many years ago.  This gorgeous room is a fine example of Chinese painted wallpaper in England.  I wanted to recreate this 17^th and 18^th century Chinoiserie in the Parlour collection.  The orchids also remind me of orchids growing in Malaysia.”
