D’Anjo is a typical 1930s floral design, created for Liberty by the Silver Studio. This London-based design house created some of Liberty’s most popular fabric designs from the Art Nouveau period to the 1940s. It’s originally from the AW12 ‘Wightwick and Willow’ collection.
We are delighted to announce the launch of our Summer Edit. Alice says “The 2013 Flower Show is one of my favourite Liberty collections ever. It has some of the greatest Liberty seasonal prints of all time. It was a gorgeous collection of beauty and wonder and so I wanted to re-print some of the fabrics from this collection. I’ve chosen some colours that are hard to come by – purples and greens are especially hard to find in Liberty collections. Many of the fabrics chosen for my Summer Edit remind me of beautiful and vibrant English summer gardens.”

Mini Edenham is a really lovely print at a cute mini scale. We have used purples which are rare in the current Liberty selection and an absinthe greeny yellow.
The Alice Caroline 2020 Exclusive ‘Butterfly Garden Collection’ features a beautiful selection of Liberty prints re-worked in delicate colourways. Comprising 15 stunning Liberty Tana Lawn prints, the colour theme inspiration comes from a box of ribbons gifted to Alice long ago by a great, great aunt. The collection is reminiscent of a flower garden in full summer bloom as well as evoking the imagined explorations of attic treasures in 1920’s Paris.
Wiltshire is a classic leaf and berry print, originally designed for Liberty Fabrics in 1933. Like Betsy, it was created by the designer with the initials DS. It has been part of the classic Tana collection since 1979. Alice Caroline love this design and wanted to re-colour it for this new collection in pretty pinks with hints of violet. Japanese plum blossom symbolises vitality, hope and renewal and emerges in mid-February in Japan. Wherever plum blossom appears you will be surrounded by both visual beauty and a gorgeous fragrance.
Inspired by the Japanese tradition of Hanami, this new Alice Caroline exclusive collection celebrates the transient beauty of flowers. Hanami means ‘flower viewing’ in Japanese and is the tradition of enjoying the beauty of spring blossoms. It’s synonymous with friends and families meeting together beneath the trees enjoying picnics surrounded by beautiful blossom – the perfect inspiration for Liberty Exclusive prints.
There are three gorgeous prints in this new capsule collection:
Betsy Apricot Blossom, Wiltshire Plum Blossom and Felicite Cherry Blossom

A beautiful new colour way of Felicite with cherry blossom pinks and pale sage green leaves. Felicite is one of my favourite Liberty prints and is a rose trail that was designed for Liberty Fabrics in 1933 by the mysterious designer D.S. Cherry blossoms in Japan are known as Sakura, where this flower is a little bit of a national obsession. In ancient times the blooming cherry blossoms marked the beginning of the spring planting season.
